Therapy for Stress Management
Stress is pretty much part of everyday life and everybody needs positive, healthy coping mechanisms. These may include exercise, diet, sleep and sleep hygiene. Mindfulness and meditation may help to increase the brain’s resilience to stress. I work to incorporate positive habits that will help you manage your stress levels, and we will also work to address all the habits that may be making your stress worst.
For example, if you’re under stress and you’re not sleeping well, this could exacerbate the problem. Or if you’re under stress and not exercising, that may make the stress worse.
The practice of mindfulness and meditation and learning to slow your mind down, pay attention to the present moment, refocus yourself and quite down the competing voices telling you what you should or shouldn’t be doing is all part of stress management.
If you’re under stress and struggling to cope, I can help you incorporate new tools and habits in your life that will help you manage your stress more effectively.
